Cuozzo’s pitching leads Piccolo’s past Stan’s 5-0

On Monday April 20, Stan’s wasn’t able to score a run off of Anthony Cuozzo during his six innings on the mound and Piccolo’s took home the win, 5-0. Anthony allowed two hits, no walks and struck out four. Troy Reynolds boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace Piccolo’s. He singled in the first, third, and fourth innings. Daniel Rashkes took the loss for Stan’s. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs. Piccolo’s stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring two runs on an error. Piccolo’s increased its lead with two runs in the fourth on a ground out scored Kyle Knoblaugh to start the scoring in the inning.

Mario’s Pizza falls 12-2 at the hands of Fiore’s

Fiore’s beat Mario’s Pizza on Tuesday April 21, 12-2 at Hoboken in five innings. Fiore’s scored five runs in the fifth on a two-run error,a two-run double by Sammy Cooper, and an error. Raymond Fiore racked up three RBIS on two hits for Fiore’s. Sammy got the win for Fiore’s thanks to 11 strikeouts. Sammy allowed two earned runs on three hits and no walks over 4 2/3 innings. Sawyer Kron went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for Mario’s Pizza. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings. In the top of the third, Mario’s Pizza grabbed the early lead, 2-0. Sawyer tripled, bringing home Patrick Groo after a triple by Patrick got things started. The scoreboard lit up again for Mario’s Pizza when Kron scored on a groundout by Jacob Guglberger. Fiore’s stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring five runs on two doubles, a solo home run by Raymond, and a groundout by Samuel Altberger.

Russo’s best Fire Dept. in shootout, 12-10

Scoreboard operators were busy at Hoboken on Tuesday as Russo’s and Fire Dept. combined for 22 runs. Russo’s eventually won the offensive battle 12-10 in six innings. the teams totaled 13 hits, including seven extra base hits in the game. the teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to four lead changes in the game. Russo’s took the lead in the fourth inning and held on for the victory. A two-run error scored Braden Peters and Dylan Jensen and gave Russo’s the lead for good. Russo’s would not relinquish the lead as Fire Dept. was unable to weather a five-run fourth inning deficit. Fire Dept. scored on a two-run single by Jacob Wright in the fifth inning and a two-run single by Michael Caracappa in the sixth inning. Matthew Harasack, Gage Lucken and Jonathan Salinas helped lead Russo’s. They combined for five hits and six RBIS. The bottom of the first saw Russo’s take an early lead, 3-0. Russo’s’ offense woke up as Jonathan singled before Gage homered, bringing home Matthew and Jonathan.

Stan’s falls 9-2 at the hands of Police Dept.

Police Dept. beat Stan’s on Wednesday April 22, 9-2 at Hoboken in six innings.
Police Dept. scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Charlton Alonso, and a single by Saurav Patel. Charlton racked up four RBIS on three hits for Police Dept. Gabriel Rothkegel had an impressive outing against Stan’s’ lineup. Gabriel held Stan’s hitless over 3 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out seven. Brandon Lui paced Stan’s at the plate. Brandon went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the fifth inning. Police Dept. stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring four runs on a two-run double by Charlton and an RBI single by Gabriel. One run in the top of the third helped San’s close its deficit to 5-1

Elks falls 13-3 at the hands of Cassesa’s

Cassesa’s beat Elks on Wednesday 13-3 at Hoboken in five innings. Cassesa’s scored six runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Nyjohn Freeman, an error, a walk by Quincy Flett, a walk by Jack Giattino, a two-run single by Max Schwede. Nyjohn reached base three times. He scored three runs and had one RBI. Max got the win for Cassesa’s thanks to eight strikeouts. Max allowed no earned runs on three hits and two walks over five innings. The top of the second saw Elks take an early lead, 3-0. Daquan Jones got things going for Elks with an RBI single. Cassesa’s stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third.

Chirichella Boys jumps on Young Dems early and coasts to 11-1 win

On Thursday, April 23, Chirichella Boys jumped out to an early lead on Young Dems and captured an 11-1 victory on Thursday at Hoboken. With seven runs in the first three innings, Chirichella Boys left no doubt about the eventual outcome. An RBI double by Ryan Burke, a walk by Fayvian Cordova, a groundout by James Davis, and a steal of home by Matthew Stewart in the first inning and a groundout by Isa Oliveri, an RBI Triple by Matthew, and a fielder’s choice during the second inning supplied the early offense for Chirichella Boys. Chirichella Boys’ Matthew was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. Ryan got the win for Chirichella Boys. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out seven, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Dual-threat carries Stan’s past Mas Demolition 9-3

Daniel Rashkes was strong at the plate and on the mound in carrying Stan’s to a 9-3 victory over Mas Demolition on Thursday at Hoboken. Daniel was hot from the plate for Stan’s. Daniel went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings. Mas Demolition couldn’t get anything going as long as Daniel was on the hill. Daniel held mas demolition hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three. Everything was working at the plate for the Stan’s in the fifth. Stan’s’ bats caught fire leading to five runs. Stan’s scored in the fifth on a bases loaded walk, a walk by Vincent Chirichella, an RBI single by Daniel, a walk by Joshua Sapira, and a fielder’s choice. Donny Rosso racked up two RBIS on one hit for mas demolition. He tripled in the fifth inning. Stan’s never trailed after scoring four runs in the first on an rbi triple by Joshua. Three runs in the top of the fifth helped Mas Demolition close its deficit to 4-3. An RBI single by Conner Caloni and a two-run triple by Donny gave Mas Demolition life.

Mario’s Pizza falls 15-4 at the hands of Piccolo’s

Piccolo’s beat Mario’s Pizza on Friday April 24, 15-4 at Hoboken in four innings. Piccolo’s scored six runs in the fourth on a walk by Christopher Guzman, a fielder’s choice, a fielder’s choice, and a three-run triple by Troy Reynolds. The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with five lead changes. Piccolo’s finally managed to grab the lead after a strong third inning. Piccolo’s scored on an RBI single by Kyle Knoblaugh bringing home Paul Lisa. Troy racked up five RBIS on two hits for Piccolo’s. Troy got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. he allowed four runs over four innings. He struck out seven, walked two and surrendered five hits. Mario’s Pizza scored three runs in the third, keyed by a solo home run off the bat of Benny Love.

Early lead not enough for Police Dept., drop 8-4 decision to Fire Dept.

Police Dept. jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on and lost 8-4 to Fire Dept. on Friday. A two-run single by Jacob Wright gave Fire Dept. the lead in the fifth inning. Jacob racked up two RBIS on two hits for Fire Dept. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning. Matthew Potter shut down Police Dept. while he was on the mound. Potter gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his three innings of work. Fire Dept. jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. A single by Matthew, plating Jacob started the inning off. After posting two runs in the second, Fire Dept. again scored two in the sixth. In the second, Fire Dept. scored on an RBI double by Jacob, scoring Joseph Picinich. Fire Dept. stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fifth, scoring three runs on a two-run single by Jacob.

Sammy Cooper leads fiore’s to 10-1 victory thanks to 13 strikeouts

On Saturday April 25, an awesome effort by Sammy Cooper hoisted Fiore’s to a 10-1 win in eight innings over Elks on Saturday at Hoboken. Fiore’s got the win thanks in large part to Sammy’s dominant, 13-strikeout performance. Sammy allowed one earned run, two hits and no walks over seven innings. Fiore’s sealed the win with nine runs in the eighth. Fiore’s scored in the eighth on , an error, a walk by Luke Miles, a bases loaded walk by Lawrence Katz, a walk by Samuel Altberger, a two-run single by Connor Mcintyre, a fielder’s choice, and a walk by Owen Martin. Connor did his best to jumpstart the offense for Fiore’s, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had two RBIS.

Dual-threat carries Russo’s past Young Dems 5-3

Russo’s beat Young Dems 5-3 Saturday behind both the bat and the arm of Matthew Harasack. Matthew went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for Russo’s. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning. Young Dems couldn’t get anything going as long as Matthew was pitching. Young Dems managed just one hit off of the Russo’s’ pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his 2 2/3 innings of work. Russo’s got its bats going early, scoring three runs in the first inning to pull ahead of Young Dems. Russo’s scored in the first on a hit by pitch, a walk by Robert Brockman, and a groundout by Anthony Fragosa. Russo’s would not relinquish the lead as Young Dems was unable to weather a three-run first inning deficit. Young Dems scored on a walk by Tomas Garen and a groundout by Elias Williams in the third inning and a groundout by Sean Smith in the fourth inning. Still, Young Dems couldn’t draw even. Despite the loss, Young Dems’ Justin Brown dominated Russo’s’ batters, giving up two runs and striking out nine. Jae Coto got the win for Russo’s. He allowed three runs over 3 1/3 innings. Jae struck out three, walked four and gave up three hits. Russo’s quickly matched Young Dems’ strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the third. Russo’s scored on a two-run single by Anthony.

Cassesa’s seize victory thanks to late bases loaded walk, drop Chirichella Boys 6-5

Cassesa’s and Chirichella Boys traded the lead six times on Saturday, but Cassesa’s ended up on top with a 6-5 win in seven innings over Chirichella Boys. Cassesa’s pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning. A passed ball scored Jake Landsbergis to give Cassesa’s the lead for good. Cassesa’s was led by a flawless day at the dish by Jacob Pantoja, who went 2-2 against Chirichella Boys’ pitching. He singled in the first and sixth innings. Isa Oliveri was effective even in defeat, mowing down five Cassesa’s batters and allowing one run. Jake got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered three hits. Chirichella Boys jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. After posting one run in the fourth, Cassesa’s again scored one in the seventh. In the fourth, Cassesa’s scored on a groundout by Anthony Henriquez, plating Jack Giattino. Chirichella Boys survived Cassesa’s’ surge and put up two runs of its own in the fourth. Chirichella Boys scored on a two-run double by Michael.

Stan’s take out Mario’s Pizza with help from Vincent Chirichella, 7-2

Vincent Chirichella had two extra base hits as Stan’s took home a 7-2 victory over Mario’s Pizza in six innings at Hoboken on Monday, April 27. He tripled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning. Zachary Fischer reached base two times in the game for Mario’s Pizza. He tripled in the first inning. Stan’s was sparked by Vincent and Daniel, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs. Stan’s jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Stan’s’ threat began with a triple by Vincent. A stolen base then moved Daniel from first to second. Mario’s Pizza scored one run of its own in the first. Mario’s Pizza scored on an RBI single by Benny Love. The lead stayed with Stan’s after the fourth, when it scored three runs on a three-run double by Vincent.

Fire Dept. jumps on Mas Demolition early and coasts to 12-1 win

Eleven runs in the first three innings allowed FIRE DEPT to put the game away early. An RBI single by Jacob Wright, a walk by Angel Sanabria, a walk by Michael Caracappa, a hit by pitch, and an RBI single by Andrew Bellissimo during the first inning and a groundout by Matthew Potter in the second inning fueled Fire Dept.’s offense early. Seshan Ganesan led Fire Dept.’s offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning. Donny Rosso lasted one inning on the mound for Mas Demolition before the call to the bullpen. Donny surrendered three hits and five runs. Fire Dept. tacked on another five runs in the third. An error scored Vito Zarrillo to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Matthew’s single, bringing home Jacob and Seshan.

Piccolo’s best Elks in shootout, 18-8

The bats were busy at Hoboken on Tuesday April 28, and when the dust cleared Piccolo’s had an 18-8 win over Elks in four innings. The two teams combined for six hits in the game. The biggest inning for Piccolo’s was the second. In the inning Piccolo’s scored 11 runs. Piccolo’s scored in the second on a walk by Troy Reynolds, a walk by Anthony Cuozzo, a bases loaded walk, a walk by Brandon Jurado, a bases loaded walk by Mike Aviles, a walk by Kyle Knoblaugh, a walk by Christopher Guzman, a walk by Anthony Diaz, an error, a walk by Anthony C, and a bases loaded walk. Christopher recorded the win for Piccolo’s even though he allowed six runs over 2 1/3 innings. He struck out five, walked six and surrendered five hits. Elks jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Elks’ threat began with a single by Jordan Gomez. Mike tripled, plating Hudson Borelli and Jordan. Piccolo’s piled on seven more runs in the top of the fourth. A hit into a fielder’s choice scored Troy to start the scoring in the inning.

Police Dept. outlast Young Dems, 13-9

Police Dept. and Young Dems lit up the scoreboard on Tuesday as they combined for 22 runs. In the end, Police Dept. won the offensive battle 13-9 in six innings. The teams banged out 12 hits hits between them, as well as five for extra bases. Rodney Classen did his best to prevent defeat. Rodney had two extra-base hits for Young Dems. He tripled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning. Police Dept. scored nine runs in the first inning to build an early lead. Police Dept. scored in the first on an RBI double by Charlton Alonso, a bases loaded walk by Jason Blanks, a bases loaded walk by Saurev Patel, a walk by Chris Riccardi, a three-run triple by Dominick Manziano, and a walk by Daniel Wehrhahn. Police Dept.’s Dominick was perfect at the dish, going 4-4. Police Dept. tacked on another two runs in the third. Charlton’s single got things going, plating Dominick. Police Dept. scored one run in the fourth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the sixth. In the fourth, Police Dept. scored on a groundout by Daniel, bringing home Anthony Crespo. Five runs in the bottom of the fourth helped Young Dems close its deficit to 11-8. An RBI triple by Rodney, a groundout by Tomas, a two-run error, and a groundout by Sean Smith triggered Young Dems’ comeback. But, Saurev Patel got Mike Watts to strike out to end the inning.

Early lead gives Police Dept. victory over Mas Demolition, 14-4

On Wednesday April 29, Police Dept. jumped out to an early lead on Mas Demolition and captured a 14-4 victory on Wednesday at HOBOKEN. With nine runs in the first three innings, Police Dept. left no doubt about the eventual outcome. An error and an RBI single by Jayden Bates in the first inning and a three-run error during the second inning helped Police Dept. put some runs on the board early. Robert Auld was solid at the plate for Mas Demolition. Robert went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning. The top of the first saw Mas Demolition take an early lead, 3-0. Mas Demolition got things going when Donny Rosso singled. Mas Demolition pushed more runs across when Kirk and Auld scored on a two-run double by Adian Cepeda. Police Dept. added three more runs in the bottom of the third. Charlton doubled, scoring Anthony Crespo and Daniel Wehrhahn to start the inning. That was followed up by Gabriel Rothkegel‘s double, scoring Charlton.

Fiore’s get on top of Chirichella Boys early but can’t hang on in 3-2 loss

Fiore’s jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to Chirichella Boys on Wednesday. While Fiore’s led until the fifth inning, Chirichella Boys worked its way back and took the lead on a solo home run by Michael D’Antonio. Matthew Stewart had two extra-base hits for Chirichella Boys. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the first and fifth innings. Ryan Burke‘s 10 strikeouts helped Chirichella Boys to the victory. Ryan allowed no earned runs on three hits and no walks over six innings. Fiore’s’ poor play in the field contributed to the loss. Fiore’s gave up two unearned runs while committing four errors over the course of the game. Raymond Fiore was the game’s losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out seven, and allowed three runs. Fiore’s jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. A triple by Antonio Clemente, plating Raymond started the inning off. Fiore’s added more runs when Clemente scored on a groundout by Ahmad Bryant.

Cassesa’s defeats Russo’s 6-5

Thursday April 30 wasn’t a banner performance for Max Schewede, but Cassesa’s still managed to pull out a 6-5 victory over Russo’s in six innings at HOBOKEN. Max allowed five in five, but the bullpen gave up no runs and the offense banged out six to pick up the slack and secure the win for Cassesa’s. Nyjohn Freeman led Cassesa’s’ offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He tripled in the second inning. Despite the loss, Russo’s’ Jonathan Salinas dominated Cassesa’s’ batters, giving up three runs and striking out eight. Jake Landsbergis recorded the win for Cassesa’s. He tossed one inning of shutout ball. Jake struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits. Russo’s jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Matthew Harasack tripled to start things off before Jonathan singled, plating Matthew H. Russo’s then tacked on more runs when Salinas scored on an error and Lucken scored on a steal of home. Cassesa’s quickly matched Russo’s’ strong inning with a three-run inning of its own in the fifth. Cassesa’s scored on a fielder’s choice, a fielder’s choice, and a walk by Wyatt Flett.

Stan’s falls 13-3 at the hands of Fire Dept.

Fire Dept. beat Stan’s on Thursday 13-3 at HOBOKEN in four innings. Fire Dept. scored six runs in the fourth on Fire Dept. scored in the fourth on a groundout by Dylan Eusebio, an RBI single by Joseph Picinich, a groundout by Matthew Potter, and a three-run home run by Angel Sanabria. Seshan Ganesan got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed three runs over four innings. Seshan struck out five, walked two and gave up three hits. Stan’s jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. The Stan’s attack began with a single from Vincent Chirichella. Brandon tripled, plating Daniel Raskes and Joshua Sapira. In the second, Fire Dept. scored on an error, scoring Zeke Faucher. Fire Dept. scored two runs of its own in the third. Fire Dept. scored on an RBI triple by Joseph and an RBI single by Seshan.

Early lead gives Elks victory over Mario’s Pizza, 12-2

Elks jumped out to an early lead on Mario’s Pizza and captured a 12-2 victory on Friday May 1 at Hoboken. Nine runs in the first three innings allowed Elks to put the game away early. An RBI double by Jordan Gomez, a groundout by Mike Aviles, and during the first inning supplied the early offense for Elks. Daquan Jones reached base four times in the game for Elks. He scored three runs anD had two RBIs. He doubled in the third inning. Eli Blumenfeld boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace Mario’s Pizza. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the third inning. Elks increased its lead with six runs in the third. A bases loaded walk scored Jeremiah Vega to get Elks on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Daquan’s double, bringing home Zachary Johnson and Jackson Murray.

Error proves costly as Mas Demolition falls to Young Dems, 5-1

Young Dems’ four first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 5-1 win over Mas Demolition on Friday at Hoboken. Young Dems scored in the first on a two-run error, an RBI triple by Tomas Garen, and a groundout by Kyle Smith. Young Dems’ Rodney Classen was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the second inning. The lone run of the game for Mas Demolition crossed the plate in the first inning on a groundout by Maxwell.

Isa Oliveri‘s pitching leads Chirichella Boys past Piccolo’s 2-0

On Saturday May 2, Isa Oliveri held Piccolo’s scoreless for 5 1/3 innings to boost Chirichella Boys to a 2-0 victory. Isa struck out 10 and allowed three walks and two hits. Jason Schrieber was hot from the plate for Chirichella Boys. Jason went 2-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning. Chirichella Boys never trailed after scoring one run in the second on a solo home run by Jason.

Cassesa’s tops Police Dept. in back-and-forth affair, 9-5

Cassesa’s outlasted Police Dept. on Saturday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 9-5 win at Hoboken. Cassesa’s finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. A walk by Joseph Giattino scored Anthony Henriquez and gave Cassesa’s the lead for good. Jacob Pantoja put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for Cassesa’s. He singled in the first inning, homered in the third inning, and doubled in the fourth and fifth innings. Dominick Manziano reached base two times in the game for Police Dept. He singled in the sixth inning. Cassesa’s was sparked by Jacob and Wyatt Flett, who teamed up for seven hits and six RBIs. The top of the first saw Police Dept. take an early lead, 2-0. A single by Saurev Patel, scoring Daniel Wehrhahn started the inning off. The scoreboard lit up again for Police Dept. when Patel scored on an RBI single by Tige Mauseth. Cassesa’s built upon its lead with three runs in the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Nyjohn Freeman doubled, scoring Jacob and Anthony.

Matthew went 2-3 and scored three runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning. The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game. Russo’s scored on an error and a groundout by Jae Coto. Russo’s piled up one more run in the bottom of the fifth when Matthew stole home.
