To the Editor:
On April 18, the Bayonne Elks Lodge 434, through its Motorcycle Committee, held its Tenth Annual Blessing of the Bikes. The annual event’s goal is to raise awareness about road safety and good will and raise funds for the lodge’s charitable projects that benefit military, veterans, special needs residents, and youth in the community. I would like to thank Mayor Davis and the city of Bayonne for helping us have this event in block-party style in front of the lodge. Thank you to all who attended and supported this event. A special thank you to ShopRite of Bayonne, Pechters Bread & Bakery, and Fastenal for their donations of food and water for this event. The Elks are very appreciative. And last but not least I would like to thank all the Bayonne Elks members and Antler members who worked so hard to make this event a success.
