Early lead gives FIRE DEPT victory over ELKS, 12-2

On Saturday April 11, FIRE DEPT jumped out to an early lead on ELKS and captured a 12-2 victory on Saturday at HOBOKEN. With 10 runs in the first three innings, Fire Dept. left no doubt about the eventual outcome. An RBI single by Angel Sanabria and a walk by Patrick Luongo in the first inning and an RBI double by Seshan Ganesan, an RBI single by Matthew Potter, and a two-run home run by Sanabria during the second inning helped Fire Dept. put some runs on the board early. Angel racked up five RBIs on three hits for Fire Dept..Jordan Gomez was solid at the plate for Elks. Jordan went 2-2 and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

YOUNG DEMS uses big fifth inning to beat MARIO’S PIZZA, 9-1

YOUNG DEMS beat MARIO’S PIZZA 9-1 in six innings on Saturday at HOBOKEN after a five-run explosion in the fifth inning. Young Dems scored in the fifth on an error, an RBI single by Kyle Smith, an error, and an RBI single by Gabe Laden. It was a good day at the plate for Mario’s Pizza’s Sawyer Kron. Kron went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning. Sawyer baffled Young Dems, striking out eight batters. Sawyer allowed one earned run, two hits and four walks over four innings. Rodney Classen reached base two times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning. Justin Brown got the win for Young Dems thanks to 12 strikeouts. Young Dem’s pitcher tossed 4 2/3 innings of shutout ball and allowed only one hit.

FIORE’S escapes STAN’S behind SAMMY COOPER‘s 14 strikeouts, 4-0

On Monday, April 13, an awesome effort by Sammy Cooper lifted Fiore’s to a 4-0 win in six innings over Stan’s on Monday at Hoboken. Sammy got the win for Fiore’s thanks to 14 strikeouts. Fiore’s’ pitcher tossed 5 1/3 innings of shutout ball and allowed only one hit. Raymond Fiore got on base three times in the game for Fiore’s. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning. The game’s last lead went to Fiore’s thanks to a second inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on an RBI single by Raymond. Fiore’s tacked on another three runs in the fourth. The inning got off to a hot start when Antonio Clemente singled, scoring Connor McIntyre.

RUSSO’S outlast POLICE DEPT. in high-scoring affair, 11-10

Scoreboard operators were busy at Hoboken on Monday as Russo’s and Police Dept. combined for 21 runs. Russo’s eventually won the offensive battle 11-10 in six innings. There were 10 hits, including four extra base hits in the game. The game was back-and-forth heading into the sixth, with nine lead changes. Russo’s finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. An error scored Jonathan Salinas and gave Russo’s the lead for good. Matthew Harasack reached base four times in the game for Russo’s. He scored four runs and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning. Charlton Alonso racked up three RBIs on two hits for Police Dept. he tripled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.Russo’s scored on a two-run double by Gage Lucken, a groundout by Robert, and a steal of home by Gage.

PICCOLO’S beats CASSESA’S 11-6

On Tuesday, April 14, Troy Reynolds went 3-3 at the plate as Piccolo’s took home an 11-6 victory over Cassesa’s in six innings at Hoboken on Tuesday. He singled in the fourth and fifth innings and doubled in the sixth inning. Anthony Henriquez was solid at the plate for Cassesa’s. Anthony went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.
Fourth-inning rally sparks win for CHIRICHELLA BOYS, 13-0
Chirichella Boys beat Mas Demolition 13-0 in four innings on Tuesday at Hoboken after a nine-run explosion in the fourth inning. Chirichella Boys scored in the fourth on a two-run triple by Matthew Stewart, an RBI triple by Isa Oliveri, a bases loaded walk by Carter Touzalin, a bases loaded walk by Aiden Lubin, and a home run by Michael D’Antonio. Michael racked up four RBIs on one hit for Chirichella Boys. Donny Rosso was hot from the plate for Mas Demolition. Donny went 2-2. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning. Chirichella Boys piled on three more runs in the bottom of the third. Fayvian Cordova‘s triple got things going, plating Matthew and Isa.

PICCOLO’S coughs up lead, FIORE’S wins 13-12

On Wednesday April 15, with the score tied at 12 in the sixth inning, Ahmad Bryant came to the plate and singled, plating Noah Strandberg. Ahmad reached base three times in the game for Fiore’s. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. R. J. Fiore paced Fiore’s at the plate. Raymond went 4-5, drove in one and scored four runs. He singled in the first, second, fourth, and sixth innings. Piccolo’s jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Piccolo’s’ threat began with a single by Anthony Cuozzo. A stolen base then moved Anthony from first to second. Fiore’s quickly matched Piccolo’s’ strong inning with a three-run inning of its own in the first. Fiore’s scored on a steal of home by R. J. and a two-run single by Connor McIntyre. In the third, Piccolo’s scored on a fielder’s choice, scoring Jayson Lombardo.

YOUNG DEMS come from behind to beat MARIO’S PIZZA, 10-9

With Young Dems trailing by one in the fourth inning, Rodney Classen came to the plate and singled, bringing home Brandon Gomez and Mark Boyd. Rodney racked up two RBIs on one hit for Young Dems. Jason Blanks boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace Young Dems. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fourth inning. Mario’s Pizza jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the first. A double by Benny Love, plating Patrick Groo and Sawyer Kron started the inning off. Mario’s Pizza added more runs when Love scored on an error and Groo scored on a walk by Frank DiGiacomo.

Big staff effort as 2 Stan’s pitchers team up for no-hitter in win over Police Dept.

On Thursday, April 16, two pitchers baffled Police Dept. and teamed up to throw a no-hitter for Stan’s in a 9-3 victory in six innings on Thursday at Hoboken. Joshua Sapira and Daniel Rashkes rounded out their sterling stat line with 12 strikeouts and six walks. Joshua was solid at the plate for Stan’s. Joshua went 1-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He tripled in the second inning. The biggest inning for Stan’s was the third. Stan’s’ bats caught fire leading to five runs. Stan’s scored in the third on a groundout by Joshua, a walk by Jack Conlon, a bases loaded walk, a walk by Benjamin Rubin, and a walk by Jude Sergeant. Police Dept. was hurt by a number of miscues in the field. Police Dept. committed three errors which led to three unearned runs for Stan’s.

Elks seize victory thanks to late single, drop Fire Dept 7-6

Elks outlasted Fire Dept on Thursday after 11 lead changes, squeaking out a 7-6 win at Hoboken. Elks finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. Elks scored on an RBI single by Mical Aviles off Jacob Wright, plating Daquan Jones. Jordan Gomez led Elks’ offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning. Jacob reached base three times in the game for Fire Dept. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first and second innings. The top of the first saw FIRE DEPT take an early lead, 1-0. Elks quickly matched Fire Dept’s strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the first. Elks scored on a walk by Aiden Ward and a groundout by Jeremiah Vega. Elks scored on a solo home run by Zaon Laney, an RBI double by Mical, and an RBI double by Aiden.

Fiore Realtor’s escapes PICCOLO’S behind Sammy Cooper‘s 10 strikeouts, 7-0

On Friday April 17, an impressive effort by Sammy Cooper lifted Fiore’s to a 7-0 win in six innings over Piccolo’s on Friday at Hoboken. Sammy put together a nice outing. Piccolo’s managed just one hit off of Cooper, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out 10 during his 5 2/3 innings of work. The offense exploded for the Fiore’s in the third. Piccolo’s had no answer as Fiore’s scored six runs. Fiore’s scored in the third on a groundout by Sammy, a fielder’s choice, a fielder’s choice, and a three-run triple by Owen Martin. Owen racked up three RBIs on one hit for Fiore’s.

Russo’s top Mas Demolition behind Jonathan Salinas‘s 4 hits, 18-5

A magnificent effort by Jonathan Salinas hoisted Russo’s to an 18-5 win in six innings over Mas Demolition on Friday at Hoboken. Jonathan put himself in scoring position with four extra-base hits for Russo’s. He tripled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings. Russo’s scored in the sixth on a two-run single by Matthew Neissan, an RBI single by Matthew Harasack, a two-run double by Jonathan, and an RBI single by Gage Lucken. Russo’s went up for good on a home run by Matthew Harasack scoring Leif Urias, Matthew N and Dylan Jensen. Mas Demolition scored on a two-run double by Giulio Petrocelli.

Big staff effort as 2 Cassesa’s pitchers team up for no-hitter in win over Mario’s Pizza

On Saturday April 18, two pitchers joined forces to throw a no-hitter for Cassesa’s in an 11-1 victory in five innings over Mario’s Pizza on Saturday at HOBOKEN. Jake Landsbergis and Anthony Henriquez rounded out their sterling stat line with nine strikeouts and 10 walks. Five runs in the opening three innings allowed Cassesa’s to easily put away Mario’s Pizza. An error, a steal of home by Jacob Pantoja, and an RBI single by Jake in the first inning and an RBI single by Jacob during the second inning helped Cassesa’s put some runs on the board early. Jacob racked up three RBIs on two hits for Cassesa’s. After a quick strike from Mario’s Pizza, Cassesa’s responded with three runs in the fourth. Cassesa’s scored on An RBI double by Jacob, a fielder’s choice, and a steal of home by Nyjohn Freeman.

Chirichella Boys get on top of Fire Dept early but can’t hang on in 7-5 loss

Chirichella Boys built an early edge on Saturday, but Fire Dept roared back to steal a 7-5 victory at Hoboken. Fire Dept took the lead in the fourth inning on a groundout by Seshan Ganesan. Andrew Bellissimo had a hot bat for Fire Dept. Andrew went 2-3, drove in one and scored three runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning. Jacob Wright got the win for Fire Dept despite allowing five runs over six innings. He struck out nine, walked none and surrendered eight hits. The top of the first saw Chirichella Boys take an early lead, 1-0. A triple by Isa Oliveri, plating Ryan Burk started the inning off. Fire Dept responded with two runs in the first. Fire Dept scored on an error and an RBI double by Angel Sanabria.

Dual-threat carries Young Dems past Elks 7-6

Justin Brown powered Young Dems at the plate and on the hill Saturday, willing Young Dems to a 7-6 victory over Elks.
Justin racked up two RBIs on two hits for Young Dems. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the sixth inning. The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game. Elks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. The Elks attack began with a single from Jordan Gomez. A single by Mical Aviles then moved Jordan from first to second. Jeremiah Vega singled, bringing home Jordan and Mical. Elks matched its two-run third inning with two more in the Sixth. In the third, Elks scored on an error, scoring Jordan. Young Dems scored one run in the third inning, and then followed it up with one more in the Fifth. In the third, Young Dems scored on an RBI single by Kyle Smith, bringing home Justin. Young Dems didn’t give up the lead after the sixth inning. Additional runs came from an RBI triple by Justin.
