A Celebration of Life Service took place April 17 from Porter Memorial Church of God in Christ, Jersey City, for Michael Settles, 36 of Jersey City. He passed away on April 11. He was born in Jersey City to his parents Nathaniel and Darlene Bennett. He attended the Jersey City Public School System and was employed by Gel Spices of Bayonne for nine years. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Nathaniel and Darleen Bennett; children Imani and Elijah Settles; brothers, Jermaine and Marcus Nathaniel; grandmother Hazel Haynes; uncles Cleveland Jr., Walter Lee, Grover Charles (Maria), Anthony and Robert Haynes; aunts Shelby Jean, Lisa Diane (William) and Sabrina Yolanda Haynes; and a host of other relatives and friends.
