What are we trying to do?

Dear Editor:
We can all thank Mother Nature for the calm St. Patrick’s Day bar hop. Let’s face it. It was just too cold. The young people tried, to stand in line, pass bottles down as their turn at a seat came up. They tried to invite people to individual parties, but fingers were frozen. They tried for one huge party, but it was freezing. The transit system, ready for the party, found that people were leaving at 3 and 4 p.m., claiming they would come back, but we all know about the “be back bus”. For those taking credit for a calm bar hop, Mother Nature will be come again, only, perhaps not to your advantage.
Now I have another question. We are going to have a park in the southwest. This property has been to litigation, where we agreed to pay a certain amount and we did receive the title. The powers that be, or some of them, then decided that they did not like the decision of the court of law that decided the price and that they would not pay. Am I missing something? Now they are going to court to dispute the disputed amount? Wow, that is a page full, isn’t it. I read in the Hoboken Reporter that plans for improvement of this land were continuing as we did have the title. My big problem is that I am a citizen of the United States of America and in that country, resolution of a contract took both parties to comply…….so, what I am really saying is why are we going to spend money on something that we did purchase, title or no title. If I were the owner of this property, I would be pressing so many legal options on Hoboken for obstruction of justice, fraud, failure to comply to a court order….and etc., I am not an attorney, but I am sure a good attorney could slap enough valid charges against the wall that some of them would stick. I would probably, even try to slap fraud charges against individuals on the council, as they should know about breaking the law and what it entails. What are we trying to do, other than to make sure a few attorneys make a great living?
I saw that Mayor Zimmer made a few cracks against Councilmember Russo, in reference to the old Dwek scandal. I am sure, as a regular citizen, that lots of people come to their council people with many requests….some legal, some not, some bazaar and some really very good. So, my resolution for Councilperson Russo, is that he obtains a few journals. Write everything down on any piece of paper you can find…even toilet paper will be ok, then stick your writing somewhere, anywhere so you can find your writing, piece by piece, later, if you should need it. Ok, I am smiling now…Have a nice day.
