BEOF executive director resigns

BAYONNE – Ana Quintela, executive director of the Bayonne Economic Opportunity Foundation, a group that assists the needy, has given her notice and will be taking a private sector job.
Quintela’s resignation, submitted last week, will be effective April 10, according to Andrew Casais, chief of staff for Mayor James Davis.
The BEOF board has already formed a search committee and is seeking a replacement for Quintela.
Casais said the city was hoping to make the transition as seamless as possible. An interim manager will run the BEOF until a successor has been chosen.
Quintela’s working relationship with Davis was lauded by Casais.
“We wish her all the best,” he said. “We’re looking forward to the future. And we wish her the best in her future.”
