Division of Recreation offering spring break multi-sports kids camp

Mayor James Davis has announced that the Recreation Division will team up once again this spring with the U.S. Sports Institute for a “Spring BreakCamp: Multi-Sports” for children ages 5 – 11.
The US Sports Institute’s flagship Total Play Multi Sports camp offers 15 different international sports during held April 6 – April 10 from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for children split into two age groups – ages 5 – 8 and ages 8 – 11.
All activities will allow children to develop control, accuracy, co-ordination and timing in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Each sport will be delivered as a series of progressive games and scrimmages designed to enhance knowledge, skill and character on the playing field.
With a camper to coach ratio of 12:1, the international coaching staff will ensure that children receives plenty of individual instruction throughout the week.
The Total Sports Squirts program is ideal for the child who wants to try their hand at a little of everything. As with all Squirts programs, the emphasis is on safety, fun and learning. The early bird rate through March 24 is $129. After that, fees rise to $155 per participant.
