At (1-3), the Rockets faced the (3-1) first place Comets in a week four JCC of Bayonne Indoor Soccer Sr. Division duel. Having already defeated the Comets in an overtime thriller, the Rockets were a confident bunch. Locked in a defensive brawl the game stayed 0-0 until the final minute when the Comets’ Jacob Kowal raced the ball upcourt before sending a fireball pass to Jared Radil who pounded it home for the game’s only goal. With the league’s top four scorers Shashwat Punjani, Kevin Aguilar, Jacob Kowal, and Jared Radil all on the court the defensive showdown surprised everyone except the Comets’ Drew Radil and the Rockets’ Harsh Easwar and Natallyah Teixeira who each put on a goal keeping clinic. Facing a rock solid Comets’ defense with Kasper Hooks, Emya Irwin, and Anushka Chakrabarti setting up a defensive gauntlet, the Rockets gave it one last charge. Down 1-0 with the clock at 15 seconds, the Rockets’ Chloe Gregory and Jaden Subacz pinballed the ball to Kyle O’Hara who blasted a cannonball to net but once again the Comets’ Drew Radil held on as the Comets survived and came away a 1-0 win.
