UPDATED: Mother and daughter found dead in Bayonne home

BAYONNE — A mother in her 40s and a daughter of 19 or 20 were found dead in a home on Tenth Street in Bayonne, police told local news agencies.
As of this writing, what happened remains a mystery. Reports say that the younger woman’s boyfriend said he was shoveling snow outside the house, went back inside after 9 a.m., and found the bodies. However, it is unclear whether he was staying there or his other involvement.
After police were on the scene, the younger woman’s sister came home, cried when she heard what happened, and came out of the house with the younger woman’s 2-year-old child, neighbors said.
Neighbor Barbara Janiszewski, who lives a few doors away, said she was familiar with the family.
“We knew them. They were very nice,” Janiszewski said. “It was ‘hello,’ ‘good-bye,’ you know.”
The two-story, white brick West 10th Street address is between Broadway, the city’s main shopping district, and Avenue C.
