Former Bayonne resident to appear on TV show

BAYONNE –Bayonne native Joseph Chiovera will be featured on a Food Network program on Sunday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m.

The new season of the network’s “Guy’s Grocery Games: Family Style” will include a segment showcasing Chiovera and his family. The show covers four teams made up of family members competing in an episode for a chance to win a grand prize of a $20,000 shopping spree.

Chiovera was born in Bayonne and raised on 39th Street. He graduated from Horace Mann Grammar School and Marist High School.

Chiovera is a long-time food service industry executive. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I., where he earned degrees in food service management and culinary arts.

He currently lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife DeAnna and two sons, Xavier, 16, and Giuseppe, 12. –Joseph Passantino
