BAYONNE – The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey has announced Bayonne Bridge closures and traffic holds for the first full week of the new year.
On Monday, Jan. 5, Tuesday, Jan. 6, Wednesday, Jan. 7, and Thursday, Jan. 8, the bridge will be closed from 9 p.m. that day until 5 a.m. the following day.
On Friday, Jan. 9, the bridge will close at 11:59 p.m. and remain closed through Saturday, Jan. 10 at 11:59 p.m.
To facilitate pier segment delivery and erection at worksites in Bayonne and Staten Island, N.Y., 20-minute traffic holds are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 5. The traffic holds may occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will occur at the top of the hour.
The bridge will also be closed from Friday, Jan. 16 at 11:59 p.m. through Saturday, Jan. 17 at 11:59 p.m.
