NORTH BERGEN — In 1974, hitchhiking was a fact of life, “The Way We Were” was the top song on the Billboard charts, and clogs and bell bottoms were the clothes of choice. It was an innocent time. One day, two teenage girls in North Bergen set out to go to the mall, and never returned. Someone killed them and left them in the woods in Bergen County. But who?
The killer is still at large 40 years later. He may live next door to you. He may be your brother-in-law.
Read more about this chilling mystery here in the North Bergen Reporter, one of the eight papers in the Hudson Reporter newspaper group. It ran on the cover over the weekend.
