High School Drama Society featuring ‘Almost, Maine’ this weekend

The Bayonne High School Drama Society will be performing “Almost, Maine,” by John Cariani, on Dec. 4, 5, and 6 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. in the Alexander X. O’Connor Auditorium.
“Almost, Maine” is composed of nine short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.

Art show to be held at Bee’s Art Studio on Dec. 12

“Appel and Friends,” an art showcase of cityscapes, landscapes, and more, will be held from Friday, Dec. 12 to Friday, Jan. 16 at Bee’s Art Studio, 914 Broadway, 44th Street.
Opening night on Dec. 12 is from 7 to 10 p.m.
The exhibit will feature the art of Elliot Appel, John Cox, Ed Garronbone, Nhi Kieu, and Catherine Nicaretta-Duffy.
Show hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.

Hoboken hosting holiday craft fair at city hall

Hoboken will host a vendor market on Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Hoboken City Hall, 94 Washington St.
Admission is free and parking is available.
The fair will feature artwork and handcrafted gift items, including jewelry, candles, soaps and body products, pottery, and handknit scarves, hats, baby sweaters, and blankets.
There will also be holiday ornaments, picture frames, mirrors, stuffed animals, and floral arrangements.
Attendees should use the Newark Street entrance, which has an elevator for accessibility.
Hoboken City Hall is three blocks from public transportation, including PATH, NJ Transit trains and buses, New York Waterway ferries, and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail.
Parking is nearby at Garage B, 2nd Street between Hudson & River streets, and Garage D, Hudson Street between 2nd and 3rd streets.

Community Museum to be site of art exhibit

“Nicholas A Maccia’s Art Exhibit: Exposed” will be the featured event at the Bayonne Community Museum, on Friday, Dec. 19 from 7 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 20 from noon to 5 p.m.
The museum is at 229 Broadway, at the corner of 9th Street.
Fine art, live music, and refreshments will all be part of the festivities.
The event is being presented by Mayor James Davis, the Bayonne City Council, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and The Art Circle of Bayonne.
Public transportation to the museum is available from the nearby Hudson-Bergen Light Rail’s 8th Street Station.
