NORTH BERGEN – Police Chief Robert Dowd of North Bergen announced that the department will operate a DWI checkpoint within the township on Nov. 26, Thanksgiving Eve. The checkpoint will be placed within the city limits of North Bergen. Officers will look for impaired drivers in an effort to reduce the chance of motor vehicle accidents.
