CarePoint Health Donates over 9,000 turkeys throughout Hudson County

JERSEY CITY — In preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday, CarePoint Health has donated more than $65,000 worth of turkeys, gift cards, and dinners to Hudson County residents. The turkeys will be distributed to local communities and families in various municipalities throughout Hudson County to help feed needy families this Thanksgiving.
CarePoint Health CEO Dennis Kelly is hoping the company’s turkey donations will make a difference in the lives of families in Hudson County and will bring greater awareness to the issue of food scarcity. “As a Jersey City resident, I am a strong believer in you lift where you stand. We are honored to play a part in helping families in Hudson County enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal this year.”
“CarePoint Health always strives to do the best we can to support the community, but it’s especially tough around the holidays. We’re very excited to start off this holiday season with such a large donation from CarePoint Health, and we’re extremely thankful to the local municipalities for working with us to provide food for those who need it most,” continued Kelly.
CarePoint Health turkey donations this year include the following: The Jersey City Youth Foundation, the Jersey City Police Department, the City of Bayonne, Love of Jesus Family Church and the Devine Connection Community Development.
CarePoint also donated Shoprite gift cards to the Brian Stack Civic Association in Union City, the Franciscan Community Dev. Center and the townships of North Bergen, Guttenberg, Weehawken and Hoboken.
CarePoint also donated prepared dinners for senior citizen centers in West New York.
