To the Editor:
Kopacz doesn’t want to debate me – and sadly, that’s the case for the entire HCDO establishment. They have grown so accustomed to having the elite news media and faux intelligentsia on its side that they have lost the ability to actually debate public policy. Instead, Kopacz lobs ad attacks and cliches at his opponent. He even runs away from the very segments of the press that do his bidding. He’d rather outsource the defense of his beliefs to others, than face his opponent in public debate.
The clearest result from Kopacz’s refusal to debate the issues is his lack of practice at defending his own policies. Party line HCDO candidates are just not that used to having to defend their own ideas anymore. That’s why Ken Kopacz shies away from offering any ideas, and instead gravitates toward social media. No one expects any ideas from you there.
If he ever agrees to debate — I’m going to do everything I can to make sure to explain why I’m running to represent all of us as Freeholders on the county level: to turn around the county’s financial mess by actually solving the problems, not just stabilizing them; to make our county welfare system a true pathway to help people get through a hardship; and to restore a culture of life in this county. Kopacz will then be asked to explain his lack of answers for all these problems.
On November 4, Elect Michael Alonso freeholder. Remember, only a candidate who is willing to face his opponent in public debate will be willing to stand up for you, and be your voice in government. Vote Alonso.
