Booker and Kopacz are no friends to women

To the Editor:

Last week, there was a letter in this newspaper detailing how Senator Booker and Ken Kopacz support abortions. Too bad these two don’t pay more attention to fighting for women’s rights such as equal pay, more employment opportunities, and better childcare. It came as no surprise to me to learn that Booker and Kopacz are staunch advocates for abortion. It was a sad reminder of what we can look forward to if we are so foolish as to elect Mr. Kopacz to be our freeholder. He is just another uncaring political hack who mouths the party line, and ignores issues that affect women and their families. Don’t get me wrong, everyone can choose to do whatever they want. But, the last time I checked, the choice is not whether to go into the bedroom with someone, it’s whether or not to kill your child. Think about this: the law says that if a drunk driver kills a pregnant woman, it’s double homicide. Yet, some politicians are still trying to tell you abortion is not the taking of a human life. That is more than just being hypocritical. That just makes no sense. Why would I want to pay for an innocent child’s murder? That is not how my freeholder should spend my tax dollars. And isn’t Ken Kopacz a school principal? Is that how he wants to control classroom sizes, by telling women abortions are good, clean, and safe while providing them with the money to do it? We all know life begins at conception. This November, vote pro-life, not for a political machine without a heart or a soul. Abortions are not safe for women, especially for unborn women.
