Enough already!

Dear Editor:
I live at 3564 Kennedy Blvd in the Jersey City Heights. For years now I have been writing and complaining to pest control, county executives past and present, city hall and the mayor about an ongoing problem with dog walkers in this area.
Last year I met with the new mayor at the corner of Congress and Kennedy and gave him a copy of the letters I had sent to the above mentioned persons. The letters were handed by him to the county executive who happened to be present at the sight to take care of the problem. Low and behold two weeks later he sent a crew to cut down the grass. That was not my request; it was for them to cement that area of the sidewalk before and after the bus stop.
Dog walkers from Kennedy Blvd between Paterson Street and Grace Street, Grant St., Congress St. and Summit Avenue walk their dogs on the grass here and think it is a burial ground that they do not have to pick up their pets mess. God forbid you say something to them because they want to take off your head and get very nasty even-though they are committing an offense punishable by fines. Not sure if they are too stupid to understand the consequences of their laziness. This is not only nasty disgusting and filthy, it also seeps into our water when it rains and further pollutes our water supply.
We have enough problems with Jersey City water which residents are not warned about, however, I can tell by the stench of the tap water when I first open the faucets in the mornings.
What does it take to get someone to correct and deal with this problem properly? Are politicians deaf, dumb and stupid or just careless and ignorant to the needs of the citizens who appoint them into office to better serve our city? I am so fed up already with the dog feces being left in front of my property. I owned a dog in the past and walked around with a pooper scooper so why can’t others do the same.
It should be made a mandatory law here in Jersey City. These people are not getting summonses even where signs are posted and they continue to abuse the curb your dog law. Enough already I don’t have to smell, deal or live surrounded by their dog’s poop!
