A funeral mass was offered Aug. 14 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Jersey City, for Lheandrew Lloyd Balatbat, 13, the third victim of the tornado in Virginia which took the lives of his parents, Lolibeth Ortega and Lord Balatbat on July 24. He died from his injuries at Childrens Hospital of the Kings Daughters, Norfolk, Va. on Aug. 9. A lifelong Jersey City resident, he would have entered the 8th grade at Middle School 40, Jersey City in September.
Photography and video games were his hobbies. Lheandrew is survived by his grandparents, Lilia (Nolasco) and Luis Balatbat and Severa (Evora) and Herman Ortega; his sisters Lhariezha Anne O. Balatbat and Lheanna Leighn O. Balatbat. and his uncles and aunts, Levi, Luis, Jr., Lowell, Lovell and Lawrence Balatbat and their spouses and Yoly Villanueva, Dionisio, Ronnilito, Roberto, Pablito, Michael, Joseph, Leslie and the late Hilario Ortega and many cousins who held him to their hearts.
