SECAUCUS – Shree Swaminarayan Temple will celebrate its 13th anniversary in Secaucus on Sunday, Aug. 3 at 9 a.m. The Temple is part of the International Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan.
The leader of the faith, Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj has traveled from India. The event will be attended by hundreds of followers and members of the local community. Hudson County Sheriff Frank Schillari, NJ Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez, and Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli are expected to speak at the event, among others.
The event will feature performances and salutes by Swamibapa Pipe Band (North America’s First Indian American Pipe Band), a traditional Indian feast, a flag raising ceremony with the Secaucus Fire Department, religious discourses, a blood donation camp in conjunction with Community Blood Services, and more.
Shree Swaminarayan Temple is located at 200 Penhorn Ave. in Secaucus.
