NORTH BERGEN – Retiring North Bergen Township Attorney Herb Klitzner was commended by Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the Town Commissioners on July 16 for his dedication to the community’s well-being. A proclamation read at the town council meeting stated, in part, “Herb worked as the director of the Law Department for the last 29 years until his retirement on June 30, 2014. Herb always made himself available to the residents and employees of the Township who often asked him for advice or guidance.”
Klitzner responded by saying, “I can’t thank Mayor Sacco enough. I can’t thank the people enough that I had the pleasure of working with over these years. I wasn’t born and raised in North Bergen but they all made me feel like I was.”
