A funeral mass was offered July 18 at St. Bridget Church, Jersey City, Aracelis Aponte, 82 of Jersey City. She passed away July 12 at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, N.C. Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, she lived most of her life in Jersey City before re-locating to North Carolina 10 months ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Jose E. Aponte, her daughter, Suzanne Colon-Aponte and sister, Isabel Suarez. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children; Jose Jr., Richard, David and Alex Aponte, her siblings, Luis, George, America Rivera, and grandchildren; Justin, Kayla, Jaylene and Lucas Aponte.
