Funeral mass was celebrated June 27 at St. John the Baptist Church for Joseph A. Geiss, 82. He passed away June 23. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, Joseph was a graduate of St. Peter’s College and received his MBA from New York University. He was a retired Purchasing Agent for the City of New York. Joseph was a Korean War Army veteran and a longtime communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. He loved to be active, going to the gym whenever possible and will be missed by family and friends in the community. Joseph is predeceased by his wife Vincentia T. Geiss (nee Campanile) and brothers, Gerald, Robert, Frederick and Daniel Geiss. Joseph is survived by his step son Robert Caliguira; uncle of Mark, Gerry and Danny Geiss, Kathy Fox Priore and Cheryl Fogu; also survived by many great and great, great nieces and nephews.
