Neil DeSena and Mark’s Roofing competed for the Bayonne PAL Junior Boy’s Division Championship where it was competitively contested throughout the whole game. Neil DeSena was the number one seed and was undefeated all season long. Mark’s Roofing was the number two seed. In the first quarter, the score was 5-2 in favor of Neil DeSena. In the First Quarter for Neil DeSena, they recieved scoring by Andrew Johnston, Brandon Perucki, and Avery Powell. Mark’s Roofing’s only basket in that quarter was by Aiden Paradine. In the second quarter Neil DeSena put on a defensive clinic by winning the quarter 9-0, and and halftime was winning 14-2. The only person who scored that quarter was Avery Powell. In the third quarter the roles were reversed as Mark’s Roofing allowed only 1 point in the quarter winning the quarter 5-1, lessing the gap to 15-7. Scoring for Mark’s Roofing that quarter was Vance Lawra,and for Neil DeSena it was Avery Powell. In the fourth quarter it was very close with DeSena winning the quarter and the championship with a 9-8 quarter,and winning the game 24-15. Scoring for Neil DeSena that quarter was Nicholas Longobardi and Avery Powell. Scoring for Mark’s Roofing that quarter was Liam Doherty and Vance Lawra.
Neil Desena was lead in scoring by Avery Powell whom had 19 points, Andrew Johnston and Nicholas Longobardi had 2 points each respectively, and Brandon Perucki had 1 point. Mark’s Roofing was lead in scoring by Vance Lawra whom had 9 points, Liam Doherty whom had 4 points, and Aiden Paradine whom had 1 point. This was a closely defensive game, good job to all teams in the Junior Boys Division, and Good job to both teams in the Championship.
