Funeral mass took place May 31 at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken, for Pietro Petrosino, of Union City. He passed away May 28 at Hackensack University Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born in Mola di Bari, Italy, Pietro served in the Italian Army. Pietro immigrated to the United States, settling in Hoboken. He has been a resident of Union City since 1979. He retired from the International Longshoremen’s Association after 30 years of employment. He will be missed by his wife of 55 years, Maria; and three sons, Anthony and his wife Elizabeth, Simone and his wife Christina, and Michael Petrosino. A great joy in Pietro’s life were his five grandchildren, Peter, Matt, Dante, Anthony, and Nicholas. Also surviving are his siblings, Francesco Petrosino, and Giusepina Pesce of Italy. He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Petronella Petrosino. Services arranged by the Failla Funeral Home, Hoboken.
