WEEHAWKEN — A man fired a gun in the lobby of the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel on the Weehawken waterfront early Saturday morning, according to a report on NJ.com.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m., the story said. The man was trying to commit robbery and was trying to pull out the phone wires in the lobby when he accidentally shot the gun, a source told the newspaper. The bullet went into a wall.
The man took approximately $1,000 from a cash register at the hotel’s front desk before fleeing, a hotel spokesman told NJ.com.
