Mayor Mark A. Smith has announced that the Recreation Division will hold registration for the Washington School Summer Day Camp on Tuesday, May 20, Tuesday, May 27, Tuesday, June 3, Tuesday, June 10, and Tuesday June 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Washington School. You may also register at the Division of Recreation, located in City Hall Room #13, Monday, though Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The camps will operate Monday through Friday, but camp will begin on Tuesday, July 1 and run through Friday, August 1. All children five through thirteen years of age are eligible to participate. Campers will enjoy many camp activities and field trips. Some activities already planned are free tricky tray toy auction, camp movie theater day at the Bayonne Movie Theater, and a musical extravaganza.
The registration fee is $500 per child; $800 for two children, and $1,100 for three children. Parents are required to provide proof of residency and their child’s age when registering. You must be a Bayonne resident to participate. Although health insurance is not required for camp registration, parents are required to provide information concerning any medical coverage their child might have.
