WEST NEW YORK — The Lupus Y Latinos Foundation will host its annual Lupus Awareness event in West New York at El Marinero Grill, 759 Farragut Place, on Friday, May 9. The event will commence at 7 p.m. This year the foundation will honor Ms. Joan Quigley, President and CEO of the North Hudson Community Action Corporation.
The speakers at the event will include Dr. Micheal Guma, and Dr. Louise Albornoz which combined have over 60 years experience in the field of Rheumatology, and Jose Munoz, chairman of the Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez, a member of the Health and Senior Services Committee, will also proclaim May Lupus Awareness Month in the state of New Jersey.
