To the Editor:
As chair of the Bayonne Tenants Organization (BTO) it is with pleasure that I and our membership endorse Gary LaPelusa, Sr. for the position of Third Ward Councilman. Mr. La Pelusa has always been a kind and caring voice and a champion of the people. He has spent countless hours and has made several private donations to the tenant’s organization.
He also supports the teachers in their quest for a fair contract. One of his goals is to have an elected school board that will work for the people without the political control currently held by a nominated school board working under the control of those who have appointed its members.
Gary has worked tirelessly to raise funds through the Gary La Pelusa Association and in turn donates that to other needy organizations.
Gary La Pelusa did a good job as councilman four years ago and would make a great councilman again because he truly cares about, not just the Third Ward, but also the entire city of Bayonne. He is a man of action who gets things done and that is the reason for our endorsement.
