SECAUCUS – The library is observing Holocaust Remembrance Day on Monday, April 28 with a special reception to view and discuss the April art display, which is a tribute to Anne Frank and all those who suffered because of the Holocaust.
Renowned artist and art teacher Doug DePice created the artwork for this installation.
“This is a time that was brutally imprinted into our history, and that belongs to our collective memory,” said DePice. “This exhibition explores the theme of the Holocaust with a particular focus on Anne Frank. The works consist of two dimensional drawings and paintings, a three dimensional installation, and readings by high school students of some of Anne Frank’s writings.”
The reception will take place from 6 to 9 p.m.in the Panasonic Room on the second floor of the library. Refreshments will be served. The Secaucus Public Library is at 1379 Paterson Plank Road. –Art Schwartz
