Someone’s handwritten novel is found on bridge between Jersey City and North Bergen (…and other lost and found)

NORTH BERGEN AND JERSEY CITY — It’d be really bad luck to lose your entire handwritten novel. But someone posted on Craigslist this week that he or she found a “100 page Strathmore sketch book containing what appears to be a hand-written novel found on the 5th St. overpass that splits Jersey City from North Bergen (Nelson Ave./Grand Ave).”
Read the lost and found here to find out more.
The person says, ” Tell me the name of the first character that appears and what he’s doing at the opening of the story so I know this is yours.”
It’s lucky this person’s novel was discovered somewhere. Most of ours are sitting in slush piles.
There are several other interesting local posts on that section of Craigslist.
A heartbroken family in Bayonne posted last month in the same section about a cat missing near the high school. Have you seen this striped black and gray kitty? “Reward offered. No questions asked. Our Tiger got out because he can’t resist the pets from the hundreds of Bayonne High Schoolers at dismissal. He may have “begged” one to take him home! Maybe his bright red collar had come off? Perhaps someone assumed he was a stray. It doesn’t matter to my son. He’s been crying every night since March seventh. Please go out and yell, “TigerLilly!” If he is near, he will come to you. Grab him. Call us. Please!!! Reward!!! And You will make a little boy so happy!!”
Then, there was the poster who wrote about finding a bus pass on a Weehawken/Hoboken route: “Today was an awful day getting into the city. I can’t imagine how the person who lost their bus pass feels.. (I imagine even worse). If you believe you lost your pass (serious inquires), please contact. I hope to brighten your day! :)”
One possible Carrie Bradshaw fan lost her “grey suede Manolo Blahnik heels on a NJ Transit Bus (either 128, 165, 166) on Boulevard East route around 7 pm on Wednesday, March 13th.”
