Various easter egg hunts being held this weekend

HOBOKEN – Hoboken Grace will lay out 15,000 eggs for its fourth annual free Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Mama Johnson Field, Fourth and Jackson streets, in Hoboken.
Hoboken Grace, a nondenominational Christian Church in Hoboken, NJ is providing the candy-stuffed eggs for children ages 1 – 12.
The hunt will be divided into four age groups for children and will start at 11 a.m. In addition to the hunt, people of all ages will be able to participate in face painting, crafts, four bouncy houses, music and games. There will also be four special Easter Bunnies, Flopsy, Mopsy, Peter and Cottontail, on hand to take pictures with families.
Last year over 2,000 people came out for the hunt and this year is expected to be even bigger! The free event is open to everyone. All participants should arrive at Mama Johnson Field at 10 a.m. to register in time for the hunt. To pre-register, visit http://hobokengrace.com/egghunt/.

Meanwhile, the Hoboken Family Alliance is also holding an egg hunt and “spring farm” at Ninth and Clinton streets in Columbus Park. That event will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. as well. Carepoint is the sponsor. You can bring nonperishable food to donate to the Hoboken shelter.
In Jersey City, a hunt will be held for kids 8 and under in Hamilton Park from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. RSVP at jcfamilies.com
