New Yorker Mag looks at history of recent New Jersey politics & Chris Christie…and Fulop refers to ‘d*ck move’

HUDSON COUNTY — Has enough been written about Gov. Chris Christie’s scandals yet? Not like this. Ryan Lizza, writing in the New Yorker this week, gives a comprehensive history of modern New Jersey politics and Chris Christie’s involvement, including the statewide political sting operation of 2009, which coincided with his campaign.
One of the highlights of the seminal story, perhaps, is the colloquial Steve Fulop using a term that isn’t likely to emerge from the lips of too many politicians who are considering replacing Christie one day.
Describing being shafted when Christie’s aides canceled a slew of meetings with the Jersey City mayor last year after Fulop wouldn’t endorse him, Fulop says, “Yes, it’s political retribution, … and it’s amateur and immature. But if I saw any indication that they were penalizing the city on something, that would’ve been a different animal. It’s a d*ck move, but it is what it is.”
The use of the informal, modern term surprised enough observers that it was quoted in several on-line political publications shortly after it appeared on-line.
Does Fulop really intend to replace Christie? What more can you learn about his non political side? Click here to read more.
