To the Editor:
On behalf of all the veterans posts in the city, I would like to offer my heartfelt thank You for the wonderful ceremony held on November 1 at Vroom School. The children were enthusiastic and well prepared, and we thank Principal Karla McQuilla-Goins, Mrs. Jaros, the staff, and the parents group that organized this “Salute to Our Military Families.” The idea of having a wall of names of Military personnel was unique and patriotic and all of the Veterans appreciated it. While we were at the school, we noticed that the American flag was well used over the years, and we replaced it with a new one and a new flag pole to go with it. We are also donated a new flag pole for the city flag. We hope the school will continue to impart the importance of patriotism in the children.
