To the Editor:
Another week gone and more publicity involving City Hall. This time, Corruption! Surprise,
Surprise. I believe that City Hall should answer the following questions immediately in order to ensure transparency regarding the Anselmo “Rocky” Crisonino investigation:
1. Who were the several other contractors and plumbers involved in fraudulent projects?
2. Do these firms or individuals have any city contracts?
3. If so, are the contracts terminated?
4. What are the names of the people who had a house that was renovated by Shadow
Contracting LLC?
4. Are there any other individuals under investigation?
As councilman, I would have already asked the above questions and the public would be well informed about the companies that the city does business with. I believe in an open, transparent, honest city government. Bayonne needs someone that will fight for the peoples’ voice and make sure that that scandals such as the one above is not swept under the rug.
Please remember these five quotes from Mayor Smith in his inauguration in 2010 and ask yourself if any of the following has happened:
Together, we will restore the face of Bayonne. Epic fail (green fences)
Together, we will bring new business in to expand our tax base and create new jobs. Epic fail
Together, we will improve the quality of life for all our citizens. Epic fail
Together, we will serve our citizens in a respectful and resourceful manner never forgetting that that’s who we are here to serve. Epic fail
We will reinvent our Broadway shopping district, improving the local shopping experience to compete in today’s economy. Disaster
I know that the citizens of Bayonne will make the right choice May 13th and vote out the “Rubber Stamp” council and also choose a new Mayor. It has been six years and Bayonne has
Not moved forward and the propaganda office at city hall needs to close. The Mayor talks about cutting the debt 40 percent but regrets to tell you that the average $100 water bill today will be approx. $480 in 40 years. Cutting the city debt on the backs of taxpayers was the wrong move. It is even worse when the Mayor wants to take credit for it when the taxpayers are still truly paying the bill. The city no longer owns the windmill that taxpayers contributed $4.6 million to build. I look forward to meeting more and more people every day. I hear your voice and I will carry it to city hall.
