A funeral mass was offered March 17 at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken, for Vito Manzoni, 80, a resident of Lakewood for the past twelve years. He passed away March 14 at the Shorrock Care Center in Brick Township. Born in Molfetta, Italy, Mr. Manzoni came to the United States, settling in Hoboken in 1979. When in Italy, Vito was a mason. After moving to New Jersey, he worked in the garment industry in Hoboken as a presser for the Diamond Coat Company for many years. Vito was a member of the International Garment Workers Union. He will be missed by his wife of 54 years, Maddalena; his two daughters Lucia Binetti and her husband Joseph, Elizabeth Altilio and her husband Danny; and his three sons, Cosmo, Leonardo, and Alessandro and their wives Rosaria, Antoinette, and Marilou Manzoni. Also surviving are three brothers, Damiano and his wife Teresa, Mauro and his wife Lucrezia, and Benedetto and his wife Benedetta; and a sister, LucreziaMezzina and her husband Sergio. He was grandfather to Salvatore, Lucy, Vito, Angelica, Pasquale, and Maddalena. He will be missed by a host of nieces and nephews. Vito was predeceased by two brothers, Alessandro and Sergio; and a sister, Maria Dedato in Italy.
