WEST NEW YORK — Sources in West New York confirmed that agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation came to Town Hall on Wednesday, but would not confirm the subject of their inquiry. These sources close to the administration said that it was not a raid of any kind, but that agents did ask a number of questions. The agents were seen first in the city clerk’s office, but apparently the investigation is focused on some other area in city government.
This is the second time in the last four months that FBI agents were reported to have been asking questions of local officials in West New York. But sources could not or would not divulge the subject of the investigation.
