Energy saving standards

Dear Editor:
You maybe familiar with some of the individual energy saving’s standards. There are 25, about half of the states that have adopted them. In NJ these standards exist in theory but not in practice. Every year more funding is pulled from the program. This is costing our state in terms of poorer economic quality and fewer jobs.
Having energy saving’s standards not only reduces pollution; it saves families hundreds of dollars on bills utility bills each year, and it turn saves money for families. These savings lead to better purchasing power and ultimately more jobs in our state.

Sincerely,
Laurens R. Hunt
