Entering week two of the JCC of Bayonne’s Indoor Soccer Jr. Division, the (1-0) Wizards and the (0-1) Dragons were still working out their team chemistry. Relying on a balanced attack, the Wizards quickly took a 2-0 lead with Michael Cordero assisting T. J. Wolf on two scoring strikes. The shorthanded Dragons gave it their all with Nicholas Resua, Ryan “Iron” Griffin, Anthony Frasier, ad Rohan Banoor logging all 40 minutes of playing time but the pace soon took its toll. While the Dragons’ lion hearted effort was impressive, the Wizards rolled like a well oiled machine as Declan McCormick railed in two net rockers off passes from Cordero and Harsh Easwar to give the Wizards a 4-0 advantage. With time running out, the Wizards’ T. J. Wolf and Declan McCormick put the finishing touches on a 6-0 victory with each player netting a third goal to end an outstanding effort.
