LALLO, CHARLES A. SR.

A liturgy of Christian burial took place Feb. 15 at the Sts Peter and Paul R.C. Church in Hoboken for Charles A. Lallo, Sr. He died Feb. 12 at home in the company of his family. Charles was born in and was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He was the owner and operator of Hoboken’s Lallo’s House of Charles Men’s Clothing for many generations. Charles was well known in Hoboken and was very active in the community. He was the past president of the Hoboken Retail Bureau, retired director of The Elysian Federal Savings Bank. He was also a WW II veteran serving in England, France, and Germany, and was a member of The Lifetime Disabled Veterans Association.
Charles Sr. was the husband of the late Rose Lallo. He is survived by his three great-grandchildren, Angel, Hanna and Melani Filosa; his grandchildren, Denise, Christopher, Charles Lallo III and Angela Filosa and her husband Michael; his son Charles Jr. and his wife Donna; and daughter-in-law Anna; brother of Nancy Caramucci, Mary Ferrante, John Lallo. Services arranged by the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home, Hoboken.
