Funeral services took place Jan. 18 for Dorothy Margaret Lala-Failla, 93, of Wilmington, N.C. She passed away peacefully on Jan. 13 at her daughter’s home. She was born to Jennie Woods Lala and Vincent P. Lala, Sr. in North Bergen, where she resided until she moved to Wilmington in 2005. Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Edward Failla, and three brothers, Vincent P. Lala, Jr., Raymond Lala and Edward Lala. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Ferrell and husband, Larry, and two grandchildren, Jennifer Ferrell and Michael Ferrell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the St. Therese Ladies Guild. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
