A funeral mass was offered Jan. 23 at Sts. Joseph and Michael Church for Joseph D. Bonacci, 89, of Union City. He passed away Jan. 18. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Union City. Joseph was president of the Joseph Bonacci Insurance Agency in Union City for many years before retiring. He served as chairman of the Union City Parking Authority and as a member of the Union City Board of Education as well as a member of the Union City Kiwanis Association and the Elks Club. Joseph was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was the husband of Teresa and the father of Joseph D. and wife Rosa, Gary J. and wife Cathy, Michael and Jane T. Boyle and husband Bryan. He was the grandfather of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
