A funeral service took place Jan. 17 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Weehawken, for Edythe D’Andrea, 89, of Union City. She passed away Jan.13. She was born in Hoboken and was a lifelong resident of Union City. Edythe was school teacher for the Union City Board of Education for 35 years before retiring in 1989. She was also a lifelong member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church of Union City and a member of Hudson County Retired Teachers Association and Education Association. She was the wife of the late Anthony D’ Andrea; mother of Richard and his wife Eileen, James and his wife Jennifer. Also grandmother of Giselle, Astrid, Michael, and Cara.
