A funeral mass was offered Jan. 6 at Holy Family Church in Nutley for Marie Troisi, 86. She passed away peacefully at home in Belleville on Dec. 30. Born in Jersey City, Marie was an active member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Jersey City, where she was the Head Librarian at the school for many years as well as a member of the 50 Plus Club. Marie also worked as a bookbinder in New York before starting her family. For Marie, family was everything and she herself to and her children, granddaughter and their extended friends and families. She was “Nanny” to many who had the privilege of being her friend. Marie was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Louis Troisi. She is survived by her son Louis Troisi; partner Joseph Marley; daughter Karen Yanick; granddaughter and “girlfriend” Brielle Marie Yanick; sister Eleanor Daniele; sister-in-laws Lillian Santopietro and Esther Troisi; cousin Marie Heatherly; goddaughter Lorraine Sofia and many nieces and nephews.
