Private funeral services have been held for Cynthia “Cindy” Starroff, 59. She passed away peacefully on Dec. 26 at Bayonne Medical Center. Cynthia was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. She was a Hudson County employee for many years until her last position at the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny. Cynthia was active in local politics and served as committee woman for Ward A. Cindy was an animal lover and enjoyed cat sitting for her many friends. Cynthia was predeceased by her parents William and Edna Starroff. She is survived by her sister, Sharon Sarch, and nephew, David Sarch. She is also survived by her aunts, uncle and many cousins.
