Local officials to announce ‘Meadowlands Tailgate Party’ for Super Bowl

MEADOWLANDS — On Mon., Jan. 13 at 12 p.m., East Rutherford’s Mayor, James L. Cassella will be joined by Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli; Meadowlands Liberty CVB President and COO Jim Kirkos; Restaurateur Bobby Wong; Biff, of The Nerds, and local football icons for a press conference to announce the entertainment line-up for its Meadowlands Tailgate Party 2014 taking place in East Rutherford on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 2 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Additionally, Michael Gonnelli, Mayor for Secaucus, and Spectrum Works, a nonprofit screen printing company with the mission to help individuals with autism integrate into the workforce, will attend the press conference to announce their plans to earn a 2014 Guinness Book of World Records record at its Winter Blast at Buchmuller Park starting on Thurs., Jan. 30 – Sat. Feb. 1. The festival will include professional ice hockey games, a beer garden, and a food truck mashup.

The Meadowlands Tailgate Party 2014 event, open to all for a $10 admission (children under 12 are free), is sponsored by Coca-Cola, Anheuser-Busch, Dunkin Donuts, Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC), Homewood Suites, Bobby Wong, Chef/Owner of Village Restaurant Group, and The New Jersey Devils and will offer family fun, food, and live performances by The BSTREETBAND and America’s Rock & Roll Fun-Omenon, The Nerds who are brought to you in association with STARS Productions.
