Funeral services were held Dec. 23 for Giacomo Morrone, 50, of Toms River, formerly of Hoboken. He passed away suddenly at the Community Medical Center in South Jersey. Born in Caggiano, Italy, “Jack” as he is known, came to the United States and Hoboken with his parents in 1967. Mr. Morrone has been employed with NJ Transit for the past 28 years and was their manager of equipment at the time of his death. His spiritual growth evolved at the Ocean County Baptist Church in Toms River and The New Beginnings Community Church in Brick. Jack will be sadly missed by his wife, Denise Morrone; his stepdaughter whom he loved as his very own, Erica Engedal; his parents, Antonio and Bettina Morrone; his two brothers, Mario and Anthony; his sisters, Nicolina Grasso and Teresa Loh; and their spouses, Olga and Nelly, Sal, and Shi-Hong. He was revered by a host of nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Faillia Funeral Home, Hoboken.
