Funeral mass took place Dec. 13 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Jersey City, for Mary R. Robertson, 82, known as “Rosie.” She died Dec. 7 at her home. Born in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Bridget and Michael McDermott, she lived in Jersey City the last 76 years. She retired in 1981 after 20 years as an operator for N.Y. Bell/Verizon, New York City. She was the wife of the late Alexander P. Robertson; mother of Kathleen Puff, Patricia Sledzikowski, Rosellen Robertson, Ellen Monclova and her husband Jose and the late Michael Robertson; sister of the late Partick McDermott; grandmother of nine; great-grandmother of 16; and one great-great-grandson.
