To The Editor:
On December 4 the Bayonne Medical Center hosted a “Lunch and Learn” program, whereby nurses on their lunch break were able to meet and learn about new products and programs in our area. I would like to publicly thank Dr. Mark Spektor (CEO), Vijayant Singh (CMO), Patricia Whipkey (SVP Patient Care Services), Fatima Alves (AVP Service Excellence), Debbie Stabile-Wisniewski (Clinical Nurse Specialist – who set the program in motion) and Joanna Stein the nurse who so ably assisted me during the two-hour presentation. It gave vendors and the Ostomy Alliance support group an opportunity to visit with nurses and let them know patients are not alone when they leave the hospital. It’s like “Lighting a Candle Amidst the Darkness.” Once again, thank all of you so much.
