HUDSON COUNTY — The Associated Press reported late on Sunday night that a Hudson County man, 30 years old, was shot in the head by carjackers in the parking lot of the Short Hills Mall in Millburn around 9 p.m. on Sunday night. He was leaving the mall after shopping with his wife. In the wee hours of Monday morning, it was reported that the man had passed away.
According to media reports, the couple were headed back to their silver Range Rover on the second floor deck of the parking lot when two men confronted them. The two men drove away in the victim’s vehicle.
The man’s wife was reportedly uninjured.
